Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Ireland, Mergon International has one facility in the Czech Republic in addition to its US operations. Mergon Czech s.r.o. (est. 2004) is a major supplier of non-traditional plastic moulding technology solutions to the automotive, industrial and medical sectors in both Europe and North America.

Solution

The MES PHARIS production information system provides comprehensive production management, including both moulding and blow moulding processes. A certain specificity of this implementation is the adaptation of MES PHARIS for so-called bulk workflows, which reflect the fact that completely different types of products are produced during one plastic blowing cycle. The individual simultaneous work orders are therefore linked to a different production order. Another strength of Mergon’s implementation of MES PHARIS is the use of complex packaging unit scenarios.
