Traceability of production parameters

Customers require manufacturers to provide digital, unbiased monitoring and traceability of production parameters. Production conditions are usually demonstrated in customer audits. At the same time, traceability helps manufacturers maintain a constant – required quality of production. We are able to ensure the traceability of production for a production batch, a packaging unit (KLT boxes, wire baskets, crates) or for each manufactured part – a unique piece identification.

MES PHARIS Production Logistics module provides you with an overview of which goods or semi-finished products are being produced, in what quantities and where they are stored outside of standard stock (pending work orders). It is an interactive plugin for MES PHARIS, which offers significant added value for material management in SAP or other ERP systems in real time.

In ERP system, raw materials and inventories of finished products are usually posted back as soon as the whole production order is completed. Conversely, MES PHARIS offers significantly higher level of detail in addition to significantly shorter delay times.
When using MES PHARIS, you can count the products and semi-finished products produced on any production operation of a production order in progress. Therefore, accurate and up-to-date information on material consumption and manufactured stocks is available online at any time.

Monitoring of production parameters

MES PHARIS records a large number of production parameters, which are used to monitor process stability or during the documentation of selected parameters to auditors and quality personnel.

  • Product identification (name, code, work order, operation…).
  • Number of products in packing unit.
  • List of operators involved in production of pieces in given packing unit.
  • Name of operator, who was registered as output control during label printing.
  • Name of operator who did the packing.
  • Input materials and semi-products.
  • Time and date of packing.
  • Number of packing unit.
  • Status of packing unit.
  • Info about re-filled units.
  • Info about equipment, where the packing unit was filled.
  • Technological information from machines.

Digitisation and traceability of production through packaging units

By “packaging units,” we mean packaging, KLT boxes, wire baskets, pallets, etc.

The packaging unit system is designed for filling packaging and pallet units on the production line.

The module enables the inspection and handling of units. Tracking packaging units in conjunction with production improves the traceability of data on products or semi-finished goods.

Packaging units can be filled and processed in multiple operations. MES PHARIS supports the consolidation or splitting of a packaging unit into multiple packaging units, while still ensuring the traceability of packaging units across all production operations involved in their production.

Unique identification of part/piece

The PHARIS MES system enables comprehensive traceability and tracking down to the level of a specific manufactured part. In other words, we do not only address the traceability of the packaging unit, but also that of the specific part contained within it. This requirement must be met primarily by suppliers in the automotive, electronics, and defense industries, among others. In the automotive industry, this primarily includes safety components, fuel system components, select interior parts, and more.

We use barcodes and QR codes to uniquely identify parts in projects; alternatively, it is possible to integrate laser-engraved IDs.

Just In Sequence

This is a production logistics module that ensures the prescribed sequence of manufactured parts is followed, in accordance with the JIS (Just In Sequence) system.

This may be a key area that a customer may require of a manufacturer, and it is an essential condition for winning a new project.

The Just-In-Sequence (JIS) principle involves manufacturing products and loading them into a container in the exact order in which the items are delivered to the customer, in accordance with the JIS principle. A single container may contain different types of products, each of which is represented by its own production process. As part of the JIS module, the PHARIS MES system verifies that the correct product is loaded at the workstation in the prescribed sequence. Another check involves product quality control. If the checks do not pass, further processing of the product is blocked. To resolve a production blockage, a quality control specialist can be summoned from the production terminal; this specialist has the authority to unblock production. The process is completed by printing a container label.

KANBAN – system of advanced material management requirements in production

The KANBAN module is used to manage material requests in production.

The system ensures that material requests are generated based on the current and future needs of production facilities and workstations.

Operators can create requests for material delivery to a specific workstation. In addition to material delivery, the system also handles the removal of materials (finished products and waste) from the production facility. Material requests are then processed by warehouse staff. These requests are used to pick the requested materials from the warehouse and prepare them for delivery to the machine or workstation. Material requests are then forwarded to handlers, who are responsible for picking up the materials and delivering them to the designated location. Handlers view a queue of requests that need to be moved from their current location to a new location. Staff create and manage all requests for delivery, removal, and retrieval using tablets or production terminals.
