At PHARIS, we proudly follow the sporting journey and achievements of Paralympic cyclist Ivo Koblasa, whom we support as a partner. Ivo recently completed two exceptionally demanding race weekends, proving that he belongs among the absolute world elite, whether racing on the track or the road. He brings home fantastic medal finishes from both the Czech National Championships and the prestigious European Cup.
Two silver medals at the Czech championships straight from track training
The first grueling test was the joint Czech and Slovak National Championships held around Lovosic (July 11–12). Ivo arrived in Lovosice directly from specialized track training, yet on the challenging road course, he immediately proved capable of giving experienced road racers a run for their money. The cyclists faced a demanding, hilly time trial followed by a Sunday road circuit featuring a punishing 12% climb. In the merged MC 1, 2, 3 category, Ivo put on a hard-fought performance:
- Road time trial: 2nd place (just 1 second behind the winner)
- Road race: 2nd place
Triumph at the Record-Breaking European Cup in Púchov
Just a week later, Ivo competed in the European Road Cup in Púchov. The 29th edition of the event attracted a record-breaking field of competitors and the highest number of participating nations in its history—with riders on the starting line from 13 countries, including Denmark, Germany, Austria, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. Ivo entered the competition with immense drive and peak form:
- Saturday hilly road race: After a tough battle on the course, he claimed 1st place and the gold medal!
- Sunday time trial: He confirmed his top-tier performance by adding a fantastic 2nd place.
