This enables the optimization and reduction of overhead times associated with re-adjustment or rebuilding of equipment. This function also helps in the area of timely preparation of materials, packaging units, or tool preparation.

In the system it is possible to set notifications of necessary persons (handler, setter…) to approaching end of order. They can start preparations in time, which results in reduction in unproductive times.

The advantage of capacity planning and scheduling is the ability to reflect current state of production. This leads to more precise production plan.

Other important factors that refine calculation of production plan are following constraints: materials, tools, equipment, maintenance, personnel.
