About PHARIS®

PHARIS® is a Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

Its task is to prepare, start and control manufacture, to obtain data from manufacture and to perform its assessment.

MES PHARIS® in practice

MES PHARIS® is a unique manufacturing execution system of the company UNIS, bringing robust, proved and price-efficient solution covering the manufacturing needs as from the moment of manufacturing order issuing up to the product release and warehousing. It arranges continuous monitoring and control of batch production in real time, collection and long-term storage of all and any accompanying information in the form of electronic batch record (EBR - Electronic Batch Record) and it provides tools for efficient analysis of production.

MES PHARIS® integrates all the manufacturing processes into one well-organised and logical unit, in which all and any necessary information is available on unified platform and in mutual inter-relations. Thanks to availability of required information at any time and any place, the PHARIS® system allows flexible reactions to operative requirements of trade and - thanks to the knowledge of current status of production - making fast and correct decisions.

MES PHARIS® system offers a flexible communication interface for connection to PLC and DCS of leading global manufacturers (Siemens, GE Fanuc, Schneider, Yokogawa, Honeywell, Emerson, and others.). Thanks to the above stated, PHARIS® is capable of arranging automatic control of the manufacturing process according to the prescription, while the staff only checks and confirms the individual steps taken. In case of manual acts, the system arranges guidance on manufacturing staff activities in compliance with prescribed manufacturing procedure.

It also arranges collection of technological and manufacturing data and their long-time history storage. Electronic saving of information minimizes the documentation in paper form to necessary reports.

The obtained data may be further processed by analytic tools for assessment of key aspects of production (quantity, quality, efficiency and others).

The structure and philosophy of the MES PHARIS® system fulfils the generally applicable standards - ISO/IEC17799, ANSI/ISA S88 (standardisation of batch process control), ISA 95.00.01-2000 (structures and relations of manufacturing environment types) and 21 CFR Part 11 (electronic records and signatures).

PHARIS name origin

Pharmaceutical manufacture

The origin of the PHARIS name is connected with our former primary orientation to pharmacy. Therefore we developed a system for manufacture that puts extremely high requirements on functionality, reliability and safety. Support of a wide spectrum of functions and general concept of our system allowed us to deploy applications also out of the pharmaceutical domain. Practical experiences confirmed that it was the step in the right direction and prooved MES PHARIS® to be a system suitable for any industrial branch.

Integration with other systems

MES PHARIS® is an open system. If you use for instance an ERP, (but also MRP or CRM), it can be inter-connected with the PHARIS® system via standard communication technologies.

Bi-directional communication with enterprise systems allows operative exchange of manufacturing information – materials for production, source data, production orders, production process courses, completed production, real material consumption, etc-. Thanks to its openness, PHARIS® may integrate even other system from other manufacturers (systems of documentation administration, special laboratory systems, systems of maintenance, etc.).

Manufacture control hierarchy and integration of MES PHARIS®

MES PHARIS® is not open only "upwards" to the enterprise information systems, but also "downwards" to the physical production layer. Thanks to implemented OPC technology (industrial standard), our system can automatically read information from the system, for example the number of manufactured pieces, current values of operative data, etc. Simultaneously, it may also write to the interafces of control systems – to give them instructions.

If you do not use control systems, the relation to the manufacturing process is manual, which means that the servicing staff receives an instruction and then confirms its performance.
